Arrivals

A taxi to the Nu Hotel from JFK or LaGuardia airport should be approximately $40 with tip. You can also take the Air Train from JFK to Howard Beach station, then jump on the A train to the Hoyt-Schermerhorn stop, a block from the hotel ($7.25 total).

Getting Around

Driving in the city is not recommended, since finding parking in the area is difficult. The Nu Hotel is convenient to many subway lines; it's one block from the A/C/G train (Hoyt-Schermerhorn stop), 3 blocks from the 2/3 train (Hoyt Street stop), and 5 blocks from the F train (Bergen Street stop).

Hopstop is a vital tool for New Yorkers and visitors trying to get around the city. It's simple to use: Just type in the address where you are and the address where you want to go, and it'll give you detailed walking and subway directions for the fastest route, along with maps.

A car service is a great, affordable way to get around. Arecibo is famous in Brooklyn for being very fast (with their familiar refrain '5 minutes') and very cheap—just give them a call at 718/783-6485. Northside (718/387-2222) is another recommended car service.

Directions to the Wedding Site

If you’re coming to the wedding from the surrounding area, here’s how to get to powerHouse. Traffic can be unpredictable, so if you’re driving we recommend that you get an early start (there’s plenty to keep you busy around Dumbo, if you arrive before the ceremony).
